We’re excited to share the latest enhancements in phone number management for alerts, posts, and announcements! As part of our continuous effort to offer you more customization and control, we’ve added new options to help you better manage communication preferences for your school or organization.
🎉 What’s New?
Primary and Secondary Phone Number Labels:
We’ve recently introduced the P and S labels to the phone number fields in the dashboard, making it easier for you to distinguish between the Primary and Secondary phone numbers. These labels are now visible across dashboard data and will help ensure clarity for both internal management and external notifications.

Choose Which Number Receives Alert, Posts or Announcements:
Starting today, you can select which phone number will be contacted when sending an alert post. By default, alert calls will go to the Primary number only, but you now have the flexibility to customize this as needed.

To change to "Primary" phone, click on the phone icon, as shown in the image below, to toggle to "Primary" or "P"

To change to "Primary & Secondary" phone, click on the phone icon, as shown in the image below, to toggle to "Primary & Secondary" or "P" &S"

🌟 Why This Matters:
- More Control Over Emergency Communication: In critical situations, you can now ensure that the most relevant contact number receives important calls.
- Customization for Diverse Needs: For families or staff members with multiple contacts, you can tailor notifications to reach exactly who you need, when you need them.
✅ How to View Primary and/or Secondary contacts:
- Log into your dashboard and navigate to a post, announcement or alert. Once you have selected a post, announcement or alert, you will be able to see on the dashboard if communication was received via Primary or Secondary phone number.
- You’ll see the new Primary (P) and Secondary (S) indicators.
- When creating an alert post or announcement, you can select which number should receive the call.
- By default, alert calls will go to the Primary number, but for posts and announcements, phone calls are OFF by default.
We’re confident this update will improve how you manage urgent and routine communications. As always, our team is here to support you if you need help customizing your alert preferences.
